Exit one world, enter another. (Bajos del Toro to Zarcero)

Today I rode to Bajos del Toro via Vara Blanca/San Miguel in order to go UP to Zarcero from there. I have never taken this road before.

I saw these goats last time I went to Bajos del Toro. 🙂

The area around Bajos del Toro is lovely, but town itself is nothing special.

The bottom part of the road to Zarcero has parts that are light gravel where the road has disappeared. The rest of it is paved nicely. It does have some hairpin curves, which is why I decided to go UP to Zarcero rather than down. But the views would be better going down.

The road to Zarcero is completely flat. There are various communities growing there. It’s different there.

I am feeling stressed riding these days, and I am not sure why. The first part was great, but I was tense going up. Too much adrenaline or something. I hope this eases and that I do this trip again in the opposite direction.
