Riding in Costa Rica: Feel the beauty. Know the love. Live the power.
Riding my Hondas in Costa Rica has brought me immense joy and happiness. It is such a personal and intimate relationship with the natural beauty of this spectacular country.
One day, for a few photographs of my motorcycle, I added the phrase “Feel the beauty” because I realized we don’t just see beauty, we experience it, we feel it.
Then, the quote expanded to be: “Feel the beauty. Know the love. Live the power.” This is the full experience of riding a motorcycle in Costa Rica. 🙂 Awesome!
More recently, while riding, I thought of that quote, “Home is where the heart is.” When I felt how happy my heart was while riding my Honda, I came up with the quote, “Home is where my Honda is.”
This started me on a roll of Honda quotes. 🙂 For several months, I had fun and enjoyed the creativity of it.
I post my pictures and quotes below and hope you enjoy them.
Having fun is what life has become about for me: especially having fun on my motorcycles. Writing is part of that for me. Writing Honda quotes made me laugh. What is more spiritual than (healthy) laughter? 🙂
Below I share several of my Honda quotes and photographs. In this blog, I tell a little story or idea related to each of these pictures and then simply share my weekly riding adventures. This is mostly for my own records, to have a holding place for this most important part of my life.
(I have since moved past this phase of writing Honda quotes. AND, I have two new motorcycles since I started this blog.)
Feel the beauty. Know the love. Live the power.
I just found this hilarious song! “Honda, Honda, faster, faster.” Hahaha! Have a good laugh.
Yeah. Love your life. Find your fun! 🙂
And here is my new quote for 2019 for my beloved Honda XR 250 Tornado, Storm!:
Stolen from the song:
And, I must admit I find my new boot photos amusing! As they say, a photo says a thousnd words!
Just ran into this place to reply. You are a motorcyclist Suzanne, and I’m looking forward to showing you the few places I know that you don’t. I’m loving this site, Paul Furlong

Awesome!!
I ride a Honda myself! A Shadow 150cc. I’m a photography entusiast, born and raised in Costa Rica.
I’m in a Women Riding Club called Lady’s Road but sometimes I ride by myself and its therapy for me.

Hi Suzanne,
I’ve just stumbled uppon your blog, it’s great reading material and motivation.
I too love riding my bike in Costa Rica’s roads. I usually ride with my wife on the pillion seat or with a friend who rides a Honda XRE.
Keep writing, I love your material and ideas.
