Top of the world! (Rivas and Boruca. Day #2)

On Day Two of our trip, we first went up to the beginning of Chirripo park in San Gerardo de Rivas.

San Gerardo de Rivas is a picturesque little mountain town. Lovely. I am shocked that I have not been there previously. I will have to return.

We then headed off to routes 244 and 330 to begin our adventure into the Boruca Indian Reserve.

At Aguila Abajo we had a snack.

We were informed that it was best to go back a bit and turn there rather than go straight. And then we headed off to the top of the world! AWESOME!

No clue what this little spot was! Hahaha!
Coffee fields in bloom on left. Delicious lemony scent

We rode through Boruca and were soon at the top of the world, looking down on the Terraba River.

And then we came out at Route 2 and the Terraba river.

What a fun trip! Easy gravel. Fantastic views. Wow.

And off we went to San Vito. Route 237 is one of the most awesome roads in Costa Rica, with incredible vistas on either side. But at this point, we were in no mood to stop for photos. Hahaha!

This is a road on which Jose Alonzo was going to take us, but he decDayided to make the trip shorter

Day #2 through Boruca Indian Reserve was way easier than day #1, yet still exciting and awesome. I am running out of adjectives. Hahaha!.
