My Honda. She’s not big, or flashy, or new. She’s not clever, nor fancy. But she’s mine. 🙂
Yesterday, Friday, August 3rd, I took a ride to Atenas, then Grecia to a 12 Step meeting, to test my body and attitude. It was OK until the end, up my bumpy road, when my ribs did hurt a bit, sharply. However, they hurt when I walk at times (unless I step very carefully), so I might as well ride. 🙂
I am glad that I have not lost my groove. 🙂 Riding still works for me.
I write this post because 20 years ago yesterday, I came onto a new spiritual pathway of connection with myself, with others, and with my ever-changing Higher Power. 🙂 Riding my Honda to a 12 Step meeting was my way of celebrating recovery — recovery of my true self. Riding in beautiful Costa Rica is one of the many gifts of recovery.
To some degree, riding a motorcycle takes serenity, courage, and wisdom. Hahahaha!
Enjoy your day!
Song for my Honda: You’re sixteen. You’re beautiful. And you’re mine.Â
Song for recovery in Costa Rica: From the dark end of the street, to the bright side of the road. 🙂
I read somewhere, that the best bike you can have is the one that you already own.
