Oh yes. You knew this was coming.
How scrumptious it is to ride on the winding, mountainous roads of Costa Rica into the big skies of its lush beaches! Both coasts have smooth roads — and lots of gravel roads — that ride along the coastline. Feel the beauty!

Costa Rica has a Maritime Zone law that protects the first 50 meters of its coastlines. This makes its beaches look and feel pristine. It’s a special treat to go on a weekday, during the slow season, and relish in the warmth, the gentle ocean sounds, and the chattering palms. (Don’t you just love palm trees of all kinds? I do. Regardless of where they are. They are one of the things I enjoy beholding on my bike trips. :-))

Even if you don’t actually go to the beach to rest in all that glorious wildness, simply riding by and seeing a beach is already a pleasure in and of itself.

Dawns and sunsets at the beaches are (of course) particularly awesome!

Even those not-so-nice beaches (due to garbage) may have some interesting scenes to amuse you. 🙂

You might enjoy some large driftwood or find some small pieces to make some art. See my website on driftwood art.
I don’t know. I could keep adding photos, but, again, you get the gist of it. (More photos below if you have not had enough.)
Song: Making Contact
Riding in Costa Rica: Feel the beauty, know the love, live the power.

Costa Rica is a small country. From the central valley, you can get to the beach in a couple of hours. The journey is as satisfying as the destination. Keep falling into your heart!

The song again, about swimming in the ocean of love: Making Contact
