Costa Pájaros via Route 604 – Fun puddles and dirt roads

I had a fantastic day today riding the dirt roads of Puntarenas with the leader of Red Riders, Felix Franco.

We headed off to Costa de Pájaros, via Route 604, to go to Chomes. But, we missed a turn somewhere and ended back  on Route 1.

Track

Route 604 is just a track through cane fields.  It was lovely.

Puddle

And full of super fun puddles! 🙂  Here is a video of me riding through one.  Yes, slowly.

Interesting bridges made out of railroad track rails.

I simply ADORE riding in these kinds of terrains!

We then headed off to check out Playa Blanca at Punta Morales.

And, of course, Costa de Pájaros, a fishing village along the coastline that has lots of character. This road is now paved.

We almost crossed this hanging bridge, but then decided not to.

Yeah. I was in my kind of heaven on Earth!

These are my favorite kind of rides: on dirt/gravel roads in the middle of nowhere. It was great to have company. Zero stress! We let ourselves explore, and that’s the best!

I am so grateful to Felix for inviting me on this adventure!

And, here I share a new poem: The Pantheist. It was inspired by the quote “Living Poetically.” I think riding a motorcycle in Costa Rica is, FOR ME, about living poetically. Yeah, living exuberantly!

Song: Good morning, Starshine.
