Rollercoaster!! (Off road ride from San Francisco de Leon Cortez to Parrita)

Honda Red Riders Off Road took an exhilarating trip down to the coast (Parrita) from San Francisco (around the Los Santos area). I must admit I was nervous as Felix, our leader, was giving us instructions about how to handle the steep inclines and sharp curves, all on gravel! It was, indeed, a challenging route, worse than I had expected. Hahaha! But, I survived without falling! Yay! And had TONS of fun!

Here is a video clip, once we were past the worst part. It will give you a sense of the beauty! I am the third one in front of the video bike. VIDEO CLIP

Our beloved and esteemed leader, Felix Franco.

It was great to hit pavement and then eventually the flat roads again. I am towards the end, the one who honks, in thisĀ Video FLAT ROAD.

The group continued from Parrita up to Acosta, a route I have always wanted to take. But it started to rain, and since I came prepared in case I wanted to stay overnight, I turned around and headed to Esterillos Este Beach. I loved relaxing on the pool and walking on the beach after such an exhilarating day.

The next day, I left the hotel at 4 a.m. and had a mystical ride home. It was tough because much of the road was not painted nor lit. Pitch black. But when the trees cleared, I was awed by the sickle moon and stars! Amazing grace!
