Wild Joy! (1. Carrillo)

Hey there! This is a bit late, but better late than never (my philosophy for riding in general.) Last week I went on a two-night trip first to Carrillo, then to Playa Coyote. This post will be about Playa Carrillo, then I will post another about Playa Coyote.

I took route 601 because I like riding over the hanging bridge and love the views of the Golfo de Colorado.

I then went to Carrillo beach via Hojancha.

This is a delightful route with great curves once you hit the pavement. It is gravel for about half the way.

CocaCola

Once every year or two, a Coca Cola on a riding trip seems to hit the spot!  Hahaha! I never drink it otherwise.

Carrillo is a lovely beach. There was not a soul in sight due to the Coronavirus Quarantine.

I stayed at a new hotel, then went and got the phone number of the one that has a great ocean view for my next trip. 🙂

The next morning, I headed to the beach early. It was wet and misty, yet still beautiful.

Then, I headed out for my next adventure, my trip to Playa Coyote on another gorgeous gravel road!

Yeah. Getting out into nature during these strange times of Coronavirus is just the right boost to my immune sytem! What could be healthier than Wild Joy?

Song: Miles from Nowhere.

Riding in Costa Rica: Feel the Beauty. Know the love.

My next post will be about my trip to Coyote. I had a superb time at that beach.

Date of this trip to Carrillo was Tuesday, June 16th, 2020.
