Dear friends,
I must share that my passion for this blog has waned. 🙂 I think I will mostly post photos for my own records. We shall see how much longer I keep it up. I do like having a space for my adventures, but since I have ridden most of the routes more than once, posting about the same routes for others to read does not make sense.
In any case, last Sunday I finally rode with my friend Mauricio, who also recently bought a 500X. He too is a solitary rider. He usually makes videos of his adventures. We inspire each other to go on new routes.
We had planned to go to Turrialba via Pacayas to go to Siquirres, but from my mountain home I could see the dark, storm clouds in that area, while the Southern part of the country looked clear. So, we headed over to Los Santos. I had recently done this route, but it is so gorgeous with such amazing views, that it is always worth doing.
There was some light rain along the way during the first part, but, as I had hoped, the skied cleared as we headed down to Santa Maria de Dota.
The sense of this area is of “Coffee Fields Forever!” Spectacular.
I thoroughly enjoyed riding with Mauricio and his wife Karen on Sahara. Sahara is smooth, stable, and well balanced. I am surprised at how secure I feel on her. So far so good!!
