I never feel alone when I ride my Honda. Being out in nature helps me know I belong. The many-shaped trees, the changing clouds, the majestic mountains, the colorful houses, the friendly people — all of it — make me feel companioned. Like I am part of something greater than myself.
One of my many favorite rides in Costa Rica is Route 239 to Rt 137, from Santiago de Puriscal to Orotina. The views are huge! The road is smooth and curvy. There are several small, local restaurants along the way in which to take a break and grab a bite.
The word that captures most vistas in Costa Rica is “spectacular.” This ride is indeed spectacular.
You just want to breathe it all in.
