Guys and Gals (And Vista Atenas road)

I rode over to my once-a-month ladies pot-luck gathering this morning. This time it was at Baron’s Resort in the Vista Atenas area, off Rt 3, Atenas.

The views were absolutely amazing up there! Since Baron’s Resort does a Sunday brunch, I hope to ride there someday for breakfast.

An old acquaintance was there who used to live here and had two bikes here (which she sold). She is here until June of next year. We hope to ride together if she manages to buy or borrow a bike. We discussed the different styles and objectives of riding between men and women. We agreed that for the guys it was more about “Boys and their toys” — each other, their motorcycles, and riding fast, whereas for the gals it is about enjoying the natural beauty. Though I suppose we are each unique in our riding intention, regardless of gender. In any case, I look forward to riding with her and with another woman this summer. Hope it happens. Cool!

More than us four coincidentally wore purple today! πŸ™‚

What I love about being with this group of ladies is that they are all my age or older, which makes it OK to be my age, with body showing it! πŸ™‚ Being with women fills a need in me to be with like-minded souls. I loved all the colorful dresses and wild jewelry that many of them wore. I felt at home. No need to be different from how I am, just a need to connect and relate.

Often people comment on how far away I live from these gatherings (which are usually in Grecia or SarchΓ). I tell them it’s because I have a motorcycle that I can come. It makes it fun and easy to travel long distances. πŸ™‚

Oh. To put some icing on the cake: I had some left over apple slices, so I went to feed the donkeys. πŸ™‚ It was a beautiful day for a ride!

Feel the beauty. Know the love. Live the power.

Song: Lady in Red. Hahaha!
