I decided to go check out the little town of Chomes, between Puntarenas and Punta Morales, on the Pacific coast.

I love riding on the dirt roads of the Pacific because of the trees! They are gorgeous!!

Route 603 from Highway 1 to Chomes is 98% gravel, with little patches of old asphalt.

Chomes is a fishing village it seems, about 8 blocks big. Or small.

One road leads to the Chomes Estuary which had lots of fishing boats near the small dock, which is only about three by five meters or so. Tiny.

It would have been perfect if there had been a small restaurant there for a cool drink and fresh fish.
Hahaha!

On Sunday I am taking a trip with a few guys to Los Santos to take a gravel road down to Quepos. Pretty exciting! Just hope the weather is clear.

It was an 8.5 hour morning, with a stop for lunch at La Eco Villa near San Mateo at my friend Diane’s house. I don’t usually socialize on my solitary rides because my trips are about the ride itself. I like the sense of freedom. And, usually, by the time I am coming home, I just want to get home. But it was nice to visit and have some good, home-made food.
FEEL THE BEAUTY. KNOW THE LOVE.
