Hello.

I have been in Ecuador for the last two weeks, in the southern province of Loja, visiting my friend Stacey, who lives in Malacatos.

I am grateful that she has a Yamaha 175 DT and that she was willing to lend it to me!

Riding in Ecuador gives one a sense of being between giants. The grandeur of the Andes cannot be adequately described. Majestic!

Second half of this trip was off road. Only traffic was four horses.

No, I did not like riding under that cut-off, rocky edge! One can see where there are rock slides all over Ecuador. Must be dangerous during hard rains.

I took three different bike trips. What impresses me the most about all of the trips is the lack of traffic. There are hardly any cars. And the towns are so empty during the week. Such peace and quiet.

How lucky can I be, to have a friend with a motorcycle…in beautiful Ecuador!? 🙂

Yeah. Life is good!

Riding a two-stroke was like having a constant conversation with the motorcycle! Hahaha! They sure do express themselves! I had lots of fun.

I go back to Costa Rica tomorrow, Monday the 25th. I am looking forward to my Thursday ride and to hopefully riding with my friends on Sunday. Can’t get enough of what I most love doing: riding in beautiful spaces, filled with awe and wonder!

Feel the beauty. Know the love. Live the power.
