Lluvia de Flores (Caldera in April 2020)

Letting Go.
The world tipped.
Our lives slid off new edges.
Dangling in unknowing,
we say hello to the stars,
the harvest moon…
missing each other,
all that was,
our freedom.
Let’s walk barefoot
on cool mud
when we land again.

As to be expected, the hardest thing about being quarantined is not riding, especially not riding with my friends.

Seeing the beautiful Costa Rican summer fade into the rainy season, today, I decided to raise my defenses by finding my joy. I went to Caldera via Palmares and Juanilama. I cannot describe how happy I was!

The curves, the speed, the flowering trees, the little traffic, the lemony scent of coffee flowers in bloom on the way home — it was all delicious!! Exquisite.

I took Route 755 home again. They are still in the process of repaving it. It will be quite a nice way to go to San Mateo when it is completed.IMG_20200421_093918

Oropendola bird nests dangling from a Guanacaste tree. Fun!

I fell in love with this vine, which I have only seen recently.

Since I did not go to any restaurants, I did not expose anyone should I be infected with Coronavirus, nor did anyone infect me. Riding on Storm was exactly what I needed today to lift my spirits!

I fear this lockdown living may go on for longer than expected.  Today, more than ever, I sure did…

FEEL THE BEAUTY. KNOW THE LOVE. LIVE THE POWER.
