My wish for all of us is that we find our passion, whatever activity makes us come alive and fills us with joy. Happiness makes the world a better place.
I am so grateful that I started riding at age 50 and hope that this year and decade (I turned 60 in November) find me having fantastic adventures in new lands! Life is too short to be in misery and wind therapy sure has enabled me to love my life and love being me! 🙂

I started out the year with a short ride to Poró and the restaurant La Choza de Doña Emilce. It was lovely to ride in the quiet morning on a gorgeous summer day! I just adore the first days of summer when the rains stop. All the mountains and volcanoes can be seen so clearly. Such a delight. After a while, the haze takes over.

Yeah. Sweet, peaceful ride on 137 to the Sulaí Quarry and back home.

Then on Sunday, a few Rejuntandos and I had a super fun ride to Puriscal>Tulin River> Gamalotillo>El Playón>Mastatal and back on 239 to Puriscal.

After visiting the river Tulín, we flipped a coin and rode down to Gamalotillo and Vista Mar rather than up. New perspective! The roads were all in great shape. I really enjoyed it.
I loved being with my friends. We were all in good spirits. With dirty faces! Hahaha!

After a brief stop at the Playón so the boys could play, we headed up 318 towards Mastatal.
Jose Miguel finally rode his Africa Twin on gravel. He did great! No falls! (The first uphill parts of 318 to Mastatal were challenging, but he made it!)

We stopped for lunch in Salitrales. Not sure about this restaurant. 🙂 Might be best to continue toward Santa Marta, though the view and breeze were nice.
A fun surprise was that our friend Felix Franco showed up with his wife to give us all hugs!!

Yeah. A perfect beginning of 2022! Gorgeous weather and fun adventures with friends with Sahara and Storm ! ONE LOVE. 🙂
RIDING IN COSTA RICA: KNOW THE LOVE

Saturday, January 1st and Sunday January 2, 2022. Life is good!
¨Little darlin’, come with me
Won’t you help me share my load
From the dark end of the street
To the bright side of the road
And into this life we’re born
Baby, sometimes, sometimes we don’t know why
And time seems to go by so fast
In the twinkling of an eye
Let’s enjoy it while we can (let’s enjoy it while we can)
Won’t you help me share my load (help me share my load)
From the dark end of the street
To the bright side of the road.¨
