What a happy surprise this morning, when my friend Robert texted me to see if I wanted to go on a ride with him! My morning plans had just been changed by the person with whom I had a breakfast date, as she was picking up her new puppy today. Serendipity!

We first headed out to Chucás dam, then on a new route I have been wanting to do for a while, but was scared to do by myself. Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t! 🙂

We took route 720 from Chucás Dam to Piedras Negras. It is paved except for on the downhill and uphill curves! Hahaha! Hilarious. But it is an easy road. It is a nice shortcut for me to go to Puriscal.

We had breakfast at La Chosa de Doña Emilce, then headed out to San Pablo de Turrubares and then to the old train station by Quebradas.

It was a short ride, but lots of fun nevertheless. And it sure felt great to ride Storm again. She was the perfect choice for those small bits of downhill and uphil gravel. She was so happy in her element! Yay for Storm, who turned two years old on Thursday!!
